Dhruva when he felt mortified at the sharp and cruel words
of his step-mother, Suruchi ?
Did not the description of the glory of your benign
form given by Hanuman transport Sri Sità into a blissful
trance ?

SADHINCHENE " (Arabhi)
Oh mind! ??, Rama, belying the precepts he himself
inculcated for treading the righteous path, has carried out
what he wanted to and evaded coming to me, uttering
words as suited the occasion. He similarly subjected Devaki
and Vasudéva to a number of trials. Without fulfilling the
heart's desires of the Gdpis, he taunted them. He
(Paramátman) would always make women pine and bow to
him. He would, posing himself as the child of Yasoda,
allow her to please herself by kissing him and would smile
at her.
Though he was a lover of devotees, an embodiment of
al virtues, and an eternally stainless one, when I was
eagerly expecting that he would free me from the troubles
of Kali age and when I was praying to him, chanting his
glorious names, he evaded me without protecting me.
He appreciated and lovingly accepted my worship as
being typical of a good devotee. He without coming to me,
merely advised me not to be put out and not to seek the
company of the godless brood and counselled patience in
times of tribulation.
------------------------------
https://www.karnatik.com/c1033.shtml
Meaning:
Oh Lord you are an opportunist, You deceived your parents Devaki , Vasudeva as also the gopikas who surrendered to you, You mischievously smile when Yashoda innocently folded you with love at the thought that she, too, would be disappointed on being separated from him, You falsified the aforesaid words of Sruti and Smruti. You have somehow not come to me despite the fact that I was overjoyed in keeping your memory always in my heart, You preached patience, tolerance in the face of adversity freedom from anger, satsang etc; and coolly accepted my pujas, You give bhakti and peace, Despite all this you have steadfastly not come closer to me to the end, Thus this kirthana, a gem amongst the five kirthanas which bring out the thought and reminiscences of Shri Thayagaraja; is a great gift to the singer and bhaktas .
----------------------------------
pallavi: Oh Mind!! He has achieved his objective
anupallavi: He has, by being steadfast, falsified his own preachings of the guiding light of Geetha, given to the world by himself.
caraNam (0): Oh! He has spoken according to the time and place!
caraNam 1: Just like the tormenting (deceiving) of Devaki and Vasudeva
caraNam 2: One who is brave in this world stage; father of the sacred Ganges; Totally devoted to classical music from birth to youth
caraNam 3: One who, unable to fulfil the wishes of shepherdess, teased them.
caraNam 4: You are the paramathma who charmed the shepherd women and made them worship you. Not only that, your are the Hari who mischievously smiled when innocent Yashoda kissed you thinking that you were her child.
caraNam 5: Oh Hari! You show immense love to your great devotees, You are an ocean of good qualities without any sin, I am nurturing in my lotus heart the fond hope that you will remove the problems of Kaliyuga, throughout the lifespan. Oh lord, I fondly seek you, while I am thus singing your praise.
caraNam 6: Oh Hari! Ramachandra!! The lord of Raghuvamsha!! Possessor of nectar like sweet tongue! The lord who is reposes on the seshanaga; one who is like a brother to otherÂ’s wives; one who is worshipped by emperors; one who has clean and healthy body; one who has lotus petal like eyes.
caraNam 7: Oh Lord of Tirupati!! Self-Illuminating! The greatest of great! Dweller in the hearts of good people! Adorner of Pithambara; the lord who shines with shining mane and earrings. Thus this worshipper of yours sings the praise of the king of the human race Shri Ramachandra.
caraNa shEsham: Oh Rama! The lord who prescribed and identified the mark of a good man! You patiently waited and accepted my worship. You asked me not to be angry. You taught me that I should not mix with those who do not love god. You taught me to be patient in the face of adversity, You gave the virtue of controlling the senses and meditating peacefully. Despite all this, you are yet to come to this worshipper of yours, Shri Thyagaraja.

DUDURUGALA
(Gowla)
Oh Lord who transcends speech and mind! Which
prince but you will protect one like me who is so
evil-minded that he is drawn every moment by powerful
evils;
that he has lost the realisation that You are imme-
nent in every being;
who, from his early days, has been
indulging in vain disputation without enjoying the ambrosia
of your divine Bhajana;
coveting others’ wealth, has
gathered money 107 sustenance by moving the hearts of
people by ilattery;
has spent all the days believing that a
comfortable living is the only aim of life (taking living itself
is happiness);
has posed as a good Bhakta, though stone-
hearted and ignorant of the elements oí music, and
has
pleased oneseli by delivering sermons to women and
ignorant and low folk;
taking good-looking women, houses,
children and wealth as permanent assets to 93 coveted, has
wilfully ignored the worship of your holy feet ?
I have remained ever a criminal with an unsteady mind
without the constant thought in mind of your beautiful lotus-
face, have sought the. company of men of evil infatuation,
have been caught up in difficulties, and am unable to repel
sense-pleasures and iow desires, and have becomea sinner
and one of unsteady mind.
Without realising that a human birth is hard to get and —
without attaining supreme bliss withits aid, I have become a
slave to haughtiness, jealousy, lust, avarice and delusion
and have got deceived; baing one of foremost birth in this
world, have resorted io the service of the low born and
seeking inferior people have perversely tried to establish
worthless faiths; have wandered in this world for women and
wealth for some time, and for the children at other times.
Which Prince but you wil! protect such a sinner ?
