O Our Lord ranga nAtha established on the bank of river kAvEri!
O Supreme Lord! O Great Treasure who protects us! O Bestower of Boons!
O Lord hari!
Listen.
Deign to show compassion on me, by bestowing boons and holding my hand publicly.
When You partake sacred Food offerings along with -
Your two consorts (SrI dEvi and bhU dEvi) – shining with large eyes,
Your true devotees, and,
(tamil vaishNava) saints - AzhvAr,
deign to show compassion on this tyAgarAja by holding his hand.

Meaning:
Oh Ladies ! Come along and join in to see Rangapathi !
Aadhi Kavi VaalmIki says that Sri RanganAthA was worshipped by Sri RaamachandrA .
He is indeed the treasure house of all charms.
He is wearing today a shawl that is priceless.
He adorns beautiful ear ornaments. He displays
His saamudrikhA LakshaNams befitting One of prime age ( paruava vAlibhan/ILankumaran ).
Above all these aspects of His matchless beauty ,
He is indeed the Parama- Purushan celebrated and saluted by the VedAs and Upanishads as the SarvAdhAran , JagadhAnandhakan and Jagath Rakshakan .
His most beautiful face defies the full moon in its beauty ;
His words are spoken with such maadhuryam , which makes His speech liltingly sweet .
He confers the bliss of happiness ( Aanandham ) on His devotees.
He is the most lovable personality with whom one readily falls in deep love.
He permeates all aagamAs and the VedAs .
Oh Ladies ! Please come forward and enjoy the beauty of this Lord of Srirangam .

O rangashAyi
Kambodhi
Meaning:
When I address you as O RangaSAyI and call you earnestly, can't you respond by uttering "O" and appear?
It is said that sage RucIka, who happened to be turned into a wasp, become one with Lord Shiva by changing His name
. You seem to regard SrI Rangam as your Supreme abode VaikuNTha itself and lose yourself in the enjoyment of the company of your consort SrI DEvi.
When will there be an end to my sufferings in the midst of men who are so insular that they cannot stand the prosperity of others?
I seek solace and relief from my hapless situation.
Grant me your vision with garlands of pearls dancing on your bosom, O Lord, adorning the heart of TyAgarAja!
